Front and centre is the Xmas Adventure, our tour for the festive season. You can book any of these tours as a team building event.
In teams, you puzzle your way through Duisburg, collect points, and afterwards celebrate the team with the most points over dinner. The programme comes from myCityHunt, you choose the venue and menu yourselves.
Your Christmas party in Duisburg needs two things sorted: a venue to eat in and something that gets the team talking before the starters arrive. The venue is usually already booked — you know the restaurant, you know the menu. What is missing is the bit in between, and that is where we come in. We bring the programme, you bring the table.
In Duisburg that programme is a puzzle tour, played in teams through the app. No briefing, no guide walking ahead with a flag — the app carries the route, the riddles, the codes and the photo tasks, and it counts the points as they come in. Teams cover around four kilometres through the centre of Duisburg, past the Schwanentorbrücke and the Dreigiebelhaus, with the Museum Küppersmühle and the Kultur- und Stadthistorisches Museum along the way. Roughly three hours, on foot, with every team racing the others — a team chat keeps them in contact, a leaderboard keeps score, and all a team needs is a charged phone. Depending on what fits your group, we run this as a Xmas Adventure, an Escape Game, a Murder Mystery Tour, a Treasure Hunt or a Scavenger Hunt, all built on the same format.
The route itself is fixed for the tour you choose, so the app always knows where the teams should be — how quickly they get through it is entirely down to them, which means the walk to dinner afterwards is never a rush. Prices start from € 16.99 per person plus VAT, you choose the date and time when you book, and that is possible up to two days beforehand. We invoice afterwards, or take card or PayPal, always with a proper VAT invoice — however you prefer to settle it.
Our customers come from a wide variety of sectors. Whether industry, retail, government or services: myCityHunt scavenger hunts are an excellent teambuilding event for your company outing, department party or team event - and that at 6,467 locations around the world.
How about a puzzle tour through Duisburg with the myCityHunt app as the program before dinner? Your team heads out in small groups, solves challenges at landmarks across the city, and competes team against team for the top spot on the live leaderboard. Several themes are available, and the tour ends in time for the meal.
The tour comes before the meal: about three hours outdoors in Duisburg, and everyone is back in time for dinner. You book the restaurant, and the program before it comes from myCityHunt. For the organizer, that leaves little more to do than picking the date and putting the teams together.
A Christmas party that starts out in the city instead of at the table: your company splits into teams and heads through Duisburg before the meal, collecting points against the other teams. If a team gets stuck, a myCityHunt guide is just a chat message away. The date is yours to pick, even at short notice in December, and venue and menu stay entirely your decision.
The tour through Duisburg is priced from € 16.99 per person, and you receive an invoice for the booking. Food and drinks afterward are planned by you, so the budget for the evening stays in your hands.
Yes, in a single booking, split into teams that all start together. The price per person stays the same regardless of group size. Mixing departments when forming the teams works well and gets colleagues talking who otherwise rarely cross paths.
You choose the date and the time. The booking is valid for any day you like, in December just like the rest of the year, and the tour starts once the whole team has arrived. Short-notice bookings work too.
Around three hours. That makes it the first half of the evening: the tour first, then dinner with plenty to talk about.
The tour takes place outdoors in Duisburg, and you can pause it at any point. If the rain gets heavy or the snow piles up, warm up somewhere dry and pick up right where you left off. Warm jackets and sturdy shoes are part of a Christmas party in December.
