Front and centre is the Xmas Adventure, our tour for the festive season. You can book any of these tours as a team building event.
In teams, you puzzle your way through Waterford, collect points, and afterwards celebrate the team with the most points over dinner. The programme comes from myCityHunt, you choose the venue and menu yourselves.
The booking itself is simple: you choose the format — Xmas Adventure, Escape Game, Murder Mystery Tour or Treasure Hunt — and we take care of the rest. Teams play through the app, which leads them along a fixed route through the centre of Waterford, setting riddles, codes and photo challenges as it goes. Past Christ Church Cathedral, Waterford, along Rice Bridge, towards the French Church — around four kilometres on foot, around three hours, with every team racing the others on a shared leaderboard and swapping messages in a team chat. Nobody needs anything but a charged phone.
What we don't do is book your table. That part stays with you, and it works well that way, because Waterford has restaurants of every kind clustered close to the stations the app sends teams past — Waterford Museum of Treasures and City Hall, Waterford among them. Once the tour ends and the final points are counted, the walk to dinner is short, often just a few minutes, so the evening carries straight on without a gap.
From € 16.99 per person plus VAT, with the date and start time fixed once you book — right up to two days beforehand if needed. Invoice, credit card or PayPal, always with a proper VAT invoice. The venue, the menu, the table: yours to choose. The programme that gets people talking before any of that: ours.
Our customers come from a wide variety of sectors. Whether industry, retail, government or services: myCityHunt scavenger hunts are an excellent teambuilding event for your company outing, department party or team event - and that at 6,467 locations around the world.
How about a puzzle tour through Waterford with the myCityHunt app as the program before dinner? Your team heads out in small groups, solves challenges at landmarks across the city, and competes team against team for the top spot on the live leaderboard. Several themes are available, and the tour ends in time for the meal.
The tour comes before the meal: about three hours outdoors in Waterford, and everyone is back in time for dinner. You book the restaurant, and the program before it comes from myCityHunt. For the organizer, that leaves little more to do than picking the date and putting the teams together.
A Christmas party that starts out in the city instead of at the table: your company splits into teams and heads through Waterford before the meal, collecting points against the other teams. If a team gets stuck, a myCityHunt guide is just a chat message away. The date is yours to pick, even at short notice in December, and venue and menu stay entirely your decision.
The tour through Waterford is priced from € 16.99 per person, and you receive an invoice for the booking. Food and drinks afterward are planned by you, so the budget for the evening stays in your hands.
Yes, in a single booking, split into teams that all start together. The price per person stays the same regardless of group size. Mixing departments when forming the teams works well and gets colleagues talking who otherwise rarely cross paths.
You choose the date and the time. The booking is valid for any day you like, in December just like the rest of the year, and the tour starts once the whole team has arrived. Short-notice bookings work too.
Around three hours. That makes it the first half of the evening: the tour first, then dinner with plenty to talk about.
The tour takes place outdoors in Waterford, and you can pause it at any point. If the rain gets heavy or the snow piles up, warm up somewhere dry and pick up right where you left off. Warm jackets and sturdy shoes are part of a Christmas party in December.
